HI-FI sockets

Dedicated supplies are used for Quality HI-FI systems & computers to minimise the effects of mains borne interference. 
 

This interference can ruin audio mixing on both analogue and digital systems.

Motors & fridges are two examples of equipment than can often interfere with the PC & HI-FI systems. 
Sometimes local suppression can suppress the interference at source.
