Cooker points

Cooker circuits can terminate in several different ways

1.  A single switch with or without neon indicator

2.  A switch and single 13 Amp socket with or without neon indicator

Either of these must be within reach of the cooker but not sited too near the flame or heat output, etc.

Some modern hobs/ovens are supplied fitted with a moulded 13 Amp plug. These can self evidently be plugged into a regular 13 Amp socket outlet.

 Alternatively if you have an existing cooker circuit nearby, there are several advantages to permanently connecting the flex to the cooker switch.
