Pond pump power in the garden

There are two distinct systems. Mains powered lighting, permanently fitted with the cables sunk deep into the soil. The other system is extra low voltage equipment (often 12 or 24 Volts) which is intrinsically safer.

For safety reasons mains powered garden equipment should be controlled and protected by a RCD unit.
