Domestic electricity,     What to do if ......

your electric shower doesn't heat up !

There are several possible reasons for the electric shower not heating up the water. You could check the following:

Is the shower power turned on? try: pullswitch near the shower  or large red switch outside the shower room.

Has the circuit breaker tripped/ or  fuse blown/ or the  RCD tripped. Look at your fusebox.

Has the water supply been turned off. Try a nearby tap

 

Electric showers have several safety cutout systems. They can be triggered by:

  • Low water pressure
  • No water pressure
  • High water tempreture

    Consult your handbook. Some manufacturers operate telephone helplines
